I graduated from Lamar High School and Arkansas Tech University.
I have a bachelor’s in History and Political Science and a master’s in English Education. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher in English Language Arts.
I started teaching at Lamar in 2001. I have taught English 7-12, World History, American History, and Geography. I am currently teaching English 12 and Film as Literature/Cross Cultural LIterature. I am also the literacy facilitator for the high school.
I taught my first two years at Atkins Middle School, where I taught English and American History.
My husband’s name is Steven Crotts, and we have been married 14 years. We have two children in elementary school.
My favorite hobby is reading, but I also love to bake and play outside with my kids. If I won the lottery, I would create a huge cat and dog sanctuary for unwanted pets.
